Doberman
Looks and acts like a boy, but is a girl. She lets people believe she’s a dude because she doesn’t really relate to girls a whole lot.
She wanted to be a Rogue, but her parents insisted she join the Rescuers guild instead, seeing as a lot of her relatives and ancestors were Rescuers. This is, in fact, what made her want to go the exact opposite direction and become a Rogue. They compromised and let her become a Merchant. She frequently expresses disdain for Merchants(and Rescuers) and complains about being one.
(The only reason her parents had any say in the matter is that Doberman used to be broke all the time and relied on them to survive.)
She’ll only lie, cheat, steal, or break rules in general when an easy opportunity presents itself- say, someone leaves their valuables unattended. She’s not terribly ambitious and not heartless either, she just wants to be a rebel and likes pretty treasure. In reality, most Rogues scare her and make her secretly glad she didn’t join their guild. She’s not as tough, brave, or cruel as she tries to behave. She only does it to spite her family, who aren’t bad people at all, she’s just kind of a douche.
When confronted with a scary situation, she’ll act like the coward she is. She hates losing, but would flee from a lot of tough battles if Sir wasn’t there to witness it. Having him around makes her try to act tougher.
She’s the better fighter of their team, and often ends up protecting Sir from tougher foes.
Rude, impatient, stubborn, spiteful, sarcastic, defiant, vengeful, petty.

Moves: avalanche, beat up, endure, dark pulse
Dark Pulse is her favorite move. She’s such a negative person that her dark pulse is fast and powerful. When using Beat Up, she grabs Sir by the arm or tail and flings him around like a weapon, using him to do the beating-up. Avalanche is her most powerful move, but she’ll only use it when facing a tough foe, and often ends up sacrificing a lot of HP and taking a big hit in order to retaliate and take down the opponent with one hit. She doesn’t like putting herself in danger like that, so she only uses this move in emergencies. Endure is the same- she’ll only use it to save her ass for one more second so either she or Sir can strike one more time, or they can flee.

Sir
Nobody wanted to start a merchant’s team with Doberman. Her parents searched long and hard before they found the amiable Sir, who agreed to be her partner despite knowing how awful Doberman is to be around. In a way, they’re perfect for each other. Sir tolerates Doberman’s constant stream of bitching and insults without retaliating- it’s almost like he doesn’t understand just how rude she is to him. Or maybe he just doesn’t take her seriously enough to care. At any rate, she doesn’t really mean it when she says something rude to him, she just keeps doing it because that’s how she is.
He’s the more intelligent of the two, by far. He handles their finances, while she is more of an in-the-field kind of gal. He’s an able enough fighter, not great. He’s better at planning ventures and strategizing battles.
He speaks rather formally.
He tries to keep their operation honest, and serves as a sort of angel on Doberman’s shoulder, sometimes(but not always) managing to convince her to not do anything too illegal. He’s rather good at assessing situations and giving advice, which Doberman knows enough to take seriously even if she pretends like his advice is rubbish. He’s clever and curious and loves exploring and learning new things.
He would’ve loved to have joined the Rescuer’s guild, but couldn’t find a partner and he’s always been good at numbers and data anyways- perfect for someone who needs to assess the value of objects and keep track of finances.
He appreciates the simple things in life- coffee in the morning, sunshine, pretty flowers, a nice song. He’s very mellow and easy to get along with- friendly to strangers, apologetic, reasonable, good at compromising. He’s the sort who would say hello to perfect strangers as he walks by. He likes cooking for people and sitting around having nice conversations. He smiles easily and sees the good in every situation. He never seems to get angry- rarely he can be frustrated or sad, but not often.
Doberman hates all of the things he likes and hates him for liking them.

Moves: headbutt, low kick, taunt, attract
Headbutt is his go-to attack- being a Scraggy, it’s sort of natural for him to headbutt things instinctively. If he’s startled, for example, he’ll headbutt as a reflex, and probably end up apologizing profusely to whomever he headbutted.
Low Kick is useful because both he and Doberman are small, and always seem to end up facing bigger foes. Sometimes Doberman will grab his arms, fling him around and let go, so he gets some momentum up for a Low Kick attack.
His Taunt is absolutely pathetic. He doesn’t have it in him to be mean. Ex: “Um. I say, wasn’t that last attack there rather substandard? Perhaps you ought to be slightly embarrassed at this time.” Doberman gives him suggestions, or just takes over and does the Taunting for him. They use this to ensure that the enemy attacks, so Doberman will take the hit and use Avalanche to retaliate.
Goodness knows how his Attract works. He’s such an awkward little creature, but somehow female Pokemon see him as being all.. square-jawed with bulging muscles wearing a Chippendale outfit.. when they’re infatuated with him.
